3-day Writer's Workshop in Spring 2017!
Get inspired and share your thoughts in Pelion!
A tailor made journey with the well-known and renowned writer Alexis Stamatis
12/5/2017 – 15/5/2017
About the workshop
This 3-day workshop is designed for people who wish to escape their daily routine and enter the world of creative writing. Surrounded by the lush nature of Pelion, embraced in the homely atmosphere and hospitality of Pelion Homes, participants will have the chance to relax while exploring their creative side. The aim is to inspire participants to enter the “writer’s kitchen” and discover the places that will help them develop their own writing voice.
3-hour sessions are held daily where interactive exercises help participants explore the steps from theory to practice. You’ ll come to understand “the other way to see things”, on which literature is based. We’ ll dive into the “how” and “why” of texts, in the “laboratory” of the act of writing.
All of this is done under the guidance of the experienced writer Alexis Stamatis who (besides his great personal writing path) has developed a theoretical training method that has been taught successfully throughout the years.
This personal “journey” with Alexis Stamatis is an incredible opportunity to improve your creative writing skills in stunning surroundings!
Please note: the seminar will be held in Greek.

A little info your accommodation in Pelion Homes
Less than four hours away from Athens and two and a half hours from Thessaloniki, Pelion Homes villas are located in the village of Agios Georgios Nilias. This village is the ideal place to escape the city crowds and recharge your batteries. 620 meters above sea level, Agios Georgiοs is known as the “balcony of Pelion”, thanks to its spectacular views of Pagasitikos Bay and it’s dense mountain vegetation. Forest flora and fauna surround the village, from oaks to chestnut trees, apples to berries, oregano and thyme.
This setting, with its incomparable colours and peaceful silence, is the reason we founded Pelion Homes here four years ago. Since then, it has become a fond winter and summer favourite destination for both Greek and international travellers. Those who visit Pelion experience the hidden side of Greece. Pelion Homes combine mountain and sea, as well as high-quality tourism services.
Pelion Homes consists of five independent, newly-built traditional-style houses, with breathtaking views of the sea. Each house can accommodate 4-8 people, in shared accommodation (max. 2 people per room). Pelion Homes were designed to create a homely environment, with even the smallest details considered. All villas have shared bathroom facilities with two or more bathrooms.
There is a fully equipped kitchen for guests to prepare any additional meals and snacks that are not included in the retreat. We provide organic fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, bread, and fresh eggs every day, along with breakfast ingredients (handmade granola, local honey and more). Please note that all meals (except when visiting a restaurant) are provided but are not served.
Choosing to stay in one of our villas will make you truly feel like home, but with exquisite, unforgettable panorama views. We are welcoming single travellers, couples and families who wish to meet other interesting people and share this unique experience.
