If you are searching for amazing tropical-like beaches in Greece, look no further. You have it all in Pelion! There’s a great variety from wide sandy beaches to fine white pebbles whether you choose the wild and vast Aegean Sea or the calm Pagasitikos Bay.
While staying at PELION HOMES, you can choose to go for a quick swim in Pagasitikos Bay, at Kalifteri beach in Afissos, at Kala Nera, or at Lefokastro just to name few. The closest one is only 20 minutes drive away from the villas in Pelion Peninsula. If you choose to go on a full day expedition, down south keep in mind that beaches along the unruffled Pagasitikos Gulf like Belian, Marathias and Paou are narrow and shallow and therefore ideal for small children and people who like romantic sunsets. In the south the most popular stopovers for sailboats are the big resorts Horto and Milina. In Pelion’s heartland near Tsangarada there is a series of spectacular beaches: the famous beach of Mylopotamos, Papa Nero with fine white sands, Agioi Saranda and the mile-long Horefto. Fakistra, is accessible only via a footpath, but has a waterfall spilling down its cliff. Damouchari is an extremely beautiful and particularly peaceful place with two pebbled little beaches with amazing blue-green water known from the musical Mama Mia. East of Argalasti there are two more stunning beaches: all time favorite and exotic Potistika, fringed by rocks and Melani with the golden sand. Pelion’s south-east shores see very little traffic. Boat-trippers from Volos and Skiathos arrive at the port of Platanias and swim at nearby Mikro beach. If you’d like to explore the beaches visit our Experience Pelion Section.
